Floor40 is designed with privacy at its core. Your business data — including financial records, customer information, employee data, and all analytics — is stored exclusively on your local device. We do not have access to, collect, or store your business data on our servers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create a Floor40 account, we collect:

• Full name
• Email address
• Business name
• Country (Australia or New Zealand)
• Industry or award classification

This information is stored securely via our authentication provider (Supabase) and is used solely for account management and subscription administration.

2.2 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

2.3 Usage Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., feature usage frequency, app version) to improve Floor40. These analytics never include your business data, financial information, or personally identifiable customer data.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be absolutely clear about what we do not collect:

• Your financial data from QuickBooks or Xero
• Your customer lists or customer information
• Your employee records or payroll data
• Your AI conversation history
• Your business analytics or reports
• Your bank account balances or transactions

All of the above remains exclusively on your local device.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the account information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain your Floor40 subscription
• Process subscription payments
• Send important service communications (e.g., subscription status, security updates)
• Provide customer support
• Improve our software and services

5. Third-Party Services

Floor40 integrates with the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication and account management
• Stripe — Payment processing
• QuickBooks / Xero — Accounting data sync (data flows directly to your local device, never through our servers)
• OpenAI / Anthropic — AI processing (when using Cloud AI mode with your own API key; queries are sent directly from your device to the AI provider)
• Ollama — Local AI processing (no external data transmission)

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your account information, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication, and industry-standard practices. Your local business data is protected by your device's native security and an encrypted local database.

7. Data Retention

Account information is retained for the duration of your subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and administrative purposes. Your local business data is retained on your device until you choose to delete it — we have no ability to access or delete it remotely.

8. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

9. Children's Privacy

Floor40 is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Floor40 after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
